Leipzig, 1989. Margarethe, jeune punk dissidente du régime est-allemand, est internée dans un hôpital psychiatrique. Elle est déterminée à s'échapper pour rejoindre Heinrich, un chanteur punk dont elle est amoureuse. Mais alors que le régime vit ses dernières heures, la Stasi dissémine plus que jamais ses mouchards.
Leipzig, 1989. Margarethe, a young punk dissident of the East German regime, is committed to a psychiatric hospital. She is determined to escape to join Heinrich, a punk singer with whom she is in love. But as the regime lives its last hours, the Stasi spreads its snitches more than ever.
